The Straight Roll Top 600mm, Red chimney pot is perfect for ensuring optimal chimney performance and is suitable for a range of solid fuel fires. Compliant with Approved Document J, this product guarantees the safe conveyance of combustion gases from your fire into the atmosphere. Installation involves placing the pot atop a masonry chimney stack, over a flue liner.
Before installation, it’s crucial to inspect the chimney pot for any damage and verify its compatibility with your flue system and fire type. Essential maintenance includes checking the chimney stack for cracks and repairing any defective mortar pointing. Ensure the flue lining is clear of debris for smooth flue gas passage.
Fill the space between the flue liner and chimney stack with insulating material such as weak lime mortar or lightweight vermiculite type insulating cement. Finally, make sure the top of the chimney stack is flat to secure the installation effectively.
