The VIT-Smooth 500mm Starter Pipe Ø 150mm is an essential component for connecting gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances to flue systems. Ideal for direct connection to a chimney stack, twin wall flue system, or flue liner, it should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls.
Installation is straightforward with a friction fit joint requiring no sealing, although high-temperature silicone or fire cement can be used for additional security. The built-in condensate ring ensures a gas-tight seal, preventing condensates from escaping and maintaining the pipe's pristine appearance. Routine maintenance, including inspection and cleaning, especially with solid fuel appliances, is essential to keep the chimney in peak condition.
