It features a built-in damper arm and blade, allowing precise control over flue gas flow for optimal draft regulation.**Application**The VIT-Smooth pipe is intended for use as a connecting component between your heating appliance and your flue liner, chimney stack, or twin wall flue system. However, it is crucial to note that this pipe is not suitable for passing through ceilings or combustible walls.**Construction**Manufactured from zero carbon steel, the VIT-Smooth pipe is designed to offer exceptional durability and performance. The vitreous enamel coating provides a sleek, matt black finish that complements modern and traditional interior settings alike.

This single skin connecting flue pipe is engineered to handle temperatures up to 600°C.**Installation**When installing the VIT-Smooth pipe, ensure it is positioned correctly with the smaller diameter pointing downward to contain any condensates within the flue system. Install the pipe at least 375mm away from combustible materials like wood or plasterboards. The friction-fit joint design negates the need for sealants, but if extra security is desired, use fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant.

Exposed steel should be covered with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting. Always wear appropriate PPE during installation.**Maintenance**Regular inspection and cleaning of the chimney are vital, especially for solid fuel applications. Implementing access doors in the VIT-Smooth system at directional changes will facilitate this.

For solid fuel appliances, sweeping and maintenance should be done at least annually.
