This essential component aids in creating a comprehensive chimney system when used alongside Mi-Flex liners. It ensures a smooth transition from the fireplace opening to the flue liner, enhancing the efficiency of gas flow up the chimney.
Designed to be compliant with Building Regulations Document J, this gather hood should be installed completely within a masonry chimney, accommodating appliances up to 600°C. It suits a variety of fuel types, including wood with less than 20% moisture, smokeless coal, gas, and oil. Proper installation with fire cement, ceramic rope, or high-temperature sealant is recommended to secure a gas-tight connection.
With its basis in reliable masonry integration, the gather hood allows for easy maintenance and mandatory annual cleanings by qualified professionals.
