The Medium Gather Hood (300x300) - Ø 180 is an essential component for any fireplace setup requiring a flexible flue liner. Specifically designed for MI-FLEX 316 and 904 flue liners, this gather hood enhances the efficiency of your chimney system by creating a larger area for gas flow. Building Regulations Document J mandates that a flexible flue liner must be enclosed within a masonry chimney, and our gather hood fits seamlessly within these regulations.
Suitable for use with wood (less than 20% moisture), smokeless coal, gas, and oil, it can handle temperatures up to 600°C (T600 designation). The gather hood includes an adaptor for easy connection to the flue liner and comes with metal flaps for secure attachment to the chimney brickwork. Maintenance is straightforward, requiring yearly inspections and bi-annual sweeping for solid fuel appliances.
