It is specifically designed to serve as a transitional joint, connecting rigid single wall flue systems to MI-FLEX 316 and 904 flexible flue liners.

These flexible flue liners are suitable for multi-fuel applications, including wood with less than 20% moisture, smokeless coal, gas, and oil, operating at temperatures up to 600°C (T600 designation). Meeting Building Regulations Document J, this adaptor must be fully enclosed within a masonry chimney for safe and efficient operation. The adapter effectively increases the diameter by 20mm, aiding in the smooth transition from one diameter to another, ensuring a gas-tight seal when used with appropriate materials like fire cement or high-temperature sealant.

It's crucial for the adaptor to be easily accessible for chimney sweeping and maintenance by a competent person, such as a HETAS registered professional. Proper cleaning and inspection ensure the longevity and functionality of the entire chimney system, with recommendations to perform these tasks at least twice a year for solid fuel applications.
