The VIT-Smooth 90° Elbow - Ø 150mm is a single-skin connecting flue system engineered from zero carbon steel. It boasts a sophisticated powder vitreous enamel coating in a sleek matt black finish, making it suitable for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances with operational temperatures scaling up to 600°C. Designed exclusively as a connecting pipe, this elbow flawlessly bridges your appliance with a Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System.

However, it is not suitable for passing through ceilings or combustible walls.Engineered for outstanding performance and ease of installation, the VIT-Smooth Elbow employs a friction fit joint, eliminating the need for joint sealing. Nonetheless, for added security, sealing with fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant can be applied. Care should be taken to always install the smaller diameter pointing downward to contain condensates within the flue system, thus maintaining the pipe's appearance.Adherence to installation guidelines is crucial: maintain a safe distance of at least 375mm from combustible materials like wood and plasterboards.

The VIT-Smooth is versatile and can be cut to size, but ensure all exposed areas are treated with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting.Ongoing maintenance is essential, particularly for solid fuel applications. Ensure easy chimney inspection and cleaning by installing the VIT-Smooth Elbow with access doors where directional changes occur. Regular sweeping is recommended at least once annually to keep the system in top condition.
