The VIT-Smooth 45° Elbow - Ø 175mm is engineered for optimal performance with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances, withstanding temperatures up to 600°C. Crafted from zero carbon steel, this connecting pipe is coated with powder vitreous enamel in a sophisticated matte black finish, ensuring both durability and aesthetics. Ideal for linking your appliance to a Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System, the VIT-Smooth pipe is not suitable for installation through ceilings or combustible walls.
Installation requires careful attention to orientation, with the smaller diameter pointing downward to retain condensates within the flue system. While friction fit joints negate the need for sealing, an optional jointing compound can enhance security. The VIT-Smooth is designed to be cut, though exposed steel must be painted with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting.
Regular maintenance, including annual chimney sweeping for solid fuel appliances, ensures optimal operation. For ease of inspection and cleaning, consider incorporating access doors in your setup.
