Introducing the VIT-Smooth 45°/135° Elbow with Access Door - Ø 175mm, a superior connecting pipe designed for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances operating at temperatures up to 600°C. This single skin flue system is manufactured from zero-carbon steel and coated with a durable, powder vitreous enamel finish in a sleek matt black. The VIT-Smooth is perfect for connecting your appliance to a Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System, though it should not be used to pass through any ceilings or combustible walls.During installation, ensure that the smaller diameter is oriented downward to keep condensates inside the flue system, preserving the pipe’s external appearance.
The friction-fit joint design doesn't require sealing, though applying a jointing compound like fire cement or high-temperature silicone can provide extra security. For those needing to customize the length, the pipe can be cut, but any exposed steel must be treated with high-temperature paint to prevent rust.Regular maintenance is crucial, particularly for solid fuel applications. The built-in access door allows for easy chimney inspection and cleaning, essential for safety and efficiency.
