Remember, the VIT-Smooth is designed exclusively for connecting your appliance to a Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System and should not be used for passing through ceilings or combustible walls. Easy to install, the VIT-Smooth features a friction fit joint that doesn’t require sealing, although you can opt for fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant for added security. The pipe can be trimmed to fit specific needs, but it's crucial to apply high-temperature paint to any exposed steel to prevent rust.
Proper chimney maintenance is also critical, especially for solid fuel appliances, and this can be easily managed by including access doors for cleaning.
