Ideal for multi-fuel applications, it is suitable for use with appliances reaching temperatures up to 600°C (T600 designation) and handles a variety of fuels including wood (with less than 20% moisture), smokeless coal, gas, and oil.
The Screw-FIX Pot Hanging Cowl is key for water and vermin protection, significantly enhancing the efficiency and longevity of the flue system. By supporting the vertical weight of the flue liner, it ensures structural integrity when installed on sound chimney pots, including those in masonry constructions as per Building Regulations Document J. The built-in rain cap and bird guard prevent water ingress and bird nests, minimizing blockages and damage.
Regular sweeping and maintenance by a competent person are essential, especially for solid fuel appliances, with at least bi-annual checks recommended.
