When combined with a MI-FLEX Multi-fuel flexible flue liner, it forms a complete chimney system compliant with Building Regulations Document J, which mandates that flexible flue liners must be entirely enclosed within a masonry chimney.
The pot hanging cowl is ideal for appliances operating at temperatures up to 600°C and is suitable for fuels such as wood with less than 20% moisture, smokeless coal, gas, and oil. This product excels in preventing water, vermin, and birds from entering the flue, thereby protecting your system. Its integrated rain cap and bird guard enhance this protection, while its standard jubilee fixing method ensures easy and secure installation.
Designed to meet the BSEN standards, this durable cowl also aids in maintaining the structural integrity of the chimney by supporting the weight of the flexible liner. Regular maintenance and sweeping by a competent person are advised, especially for solid fuel appliances, to keep your chimney system in peak condition.
