The MI-FLEX Adaptor - Ø 200 is meticulously designed for seamless integration with MI-FLEX 316 and 904 flexible flue liners. This 0.6mm thick 316 stainless steel adaptor serves as a transitional joint, ensuring a perfect connection between your rigid single wall connecting flue system and MI-FLEX flue liner of the same diameter. It is ideal for creating a comprehensive and efficient chimney system that complies with Building Regulations Document J, which mandates the complete enclosure of flexible flue liners within a masonry chimney.
This adaptor is suitable for use with a range of fuels, including wood with less than 20% moisture, smokeless coal, gas, and oil, and can withstand temperatures up to 600°C (T600 designation). When installing, make sure the connection to the flex occurs within the masonry chimney and no flexible liner is exposed, using fire cement, ceramic rope, or high-temperature sealant for a gas-tight seal. Regular maintenance and sweeping, preferably twice a year for solid fuel applications, are crucial to ensure the longevity and safety of your system.
