The VIT-Smooth Stove Connect Pipe Ø 150mm is an essential component for anyone looking to install or upgrade their flue system. Suitable for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances with temperatures up to 600°C, this connecting pipe ensures efficient and safe operation. Manufactured from zero carbon steel and powder-coated with a vitreous enamel in a matt black finish, it offers both durability and a sleek appearance.
This single-skin pipe is specifically designed to connect your appliance to a Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System. It should only be used as a connecting pipe and is not suitable for passing through ceilings or combustible walls. Installation is straightforward, but appropriate PPE should be worn, and proper care should be taken to ensure the pipe is installed the correct way up.
The VIT-Smooth pipe can be cut to size, but any exposed steel should be covered with high-temperature paint to prevent rust. Maintenance is equally important, particularly for solid fuel applications; installing an access door at changes of direction can facilitate this. For added peace of mind, joints do not require sealing, but can be fortified with fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant if desired.
