The VIT-Smooth to Traditional Adaptor (Ø 150mm) is specifically engineered to seamlessly connect VIT-Smooth systems to traditional flue setups. Crafted from zero-carbon steel and coated with a matte black powder vitreous enamel, this adaptor not only ensures durability but also complements the aesthetic of your installation. This adaptor is suitable for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances, performing efficiently at temperatures up to 600°C.
However, it's essential to use VIT-Smooth pipes strictly as connectors between appliances and flue systems, and never to pass through ceilings or combustible walls. Installation requires careful attention; the adaptor should be positioned with the smaller diameter pointing downwards to ensure condensates remain within the system. For added security, joints can be reinforced with fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant.
Designed for easy maintenance, especially in solid fuel applications, this adaptor supports the incorporation of access doors at directional changes for easier inspection and cleaning. Ensure chimneys are swept at least annually to maintain optimum performance and safety standards.
