The VIT-Smooth 90° Tee and Cap M/F - Ø 125mm is engineered for use with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances reaching temperatures up to 600°. Crafted from zero carbon steel and finished with a powder vitreous enamel coating in a sleek matt black, this connecting flue system is not only durable but also aesthetically pleasing. Designed specifically as a connecting pipe, the VIT-Smooth should bridge your appliance to your Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System.
Note that it should not pass through ceilings or combustible walls.For installation, ensure that no section of VIT-Smooth 100mm is within 375mm of combustible materials like wood or plasterboards. The smaller diameter should always face downward to contain condensates. While VIT-Smooth features a friction fit joint that doesn't require sealing, you can choose to add a jointing compound for extra security.
Be mindful to paint any cut sections with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting over time.Routine maintenance is crucial, particularly for solid fuel appliances. Consider installing VIT-Smooth with access doors at direction changes to facilitate chimney sweeping. It is advised to inspect and clean chimneys at least once a year or more frequently if used with solid fuel.
