This single skin flue system is manufactured from zero carbon steel, featuring a powder vitreous enamel coating in a sleek matt black finish.

Useful as a connecting pipe between your appliance and the Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System, the VIT-Smooth pipe ensures optimal performance and safety.Although VIT-Smooth is not suitable for passing through ceilings or combustible walls, it excels as a connecting pipe. For installation, it is crucial to keep a distance of at least 375mm from any combustible materials like wood or plasterboard. Ensure the smaller diameter end is pointing downward to prevent any condensates from escaping and tarnishing the look of the pipe; a friction fit joint means no additional sealing is required.

However, for added security, you can use jointing compounds like fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant.Remember to cut the pipe with care and cover any exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting. The VIT-Smooth pipe is also designed for easy maintenance. Plan for regular chimney inspections and cleaning, particularly for solid fuel applications.

Installing access doors at changes of direction can facilitate a swift maintenance routine. For the best performance, sweep and maintain chimneys serving solid fuel appliances at least once a year.
