The VIT-Smooth 250mm Pipe - Ø 125mm is meticulously crafted to meet the highest standards in the fireplace and flues industry. This rigid fixed pipe offers an effective installed length of 195mm and is compatible with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances that operate at temperatures up to 600°C. Constructed from zero carbon steel and finished with a durable matt black powder vitreous enamel, the VIT-Smooth pipe is ideal for connecting your appliance to a Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System.
Note, it should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls.For installation, ensure a 375mm clearance from combustible materials, and install the pipe with the smaller diameter pointing downwards to keep condensates within the flue system. The VIT-Smooth features a friction fit joint, eliminating the need for joint sealing, though high-temperature silicone sealant or fire cement can be used for added security. Trim the pipe as needed, but be sure to coat exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rust.
Always use appropriate PPE during installation.Regular maintenance is crucial, particularly for solid fuel applications. Install access doors for easy inspection and cleaning at directional changes, and sweep chimneys serving solid fuel appliances at least once annually.
