Ideal for use with solid fuels, gas, and oil, this product can withstand temperatures up to 600°C (T600 designation).Building upon its robust construction, the gather hood facilitates the seamless transition from a fireplace opening to a flexible flue liner, ensuring no exposed flex and adhering to strict safety standards.
Proper installation requires securing the bottom fixing into the masonry brickwork below and the flexible liner above to achieve a gas-tight seal. Fire cement, ceramic rope, tape, or high-temperature sealant are recommended for added security and efficacy.In addition to its installation benefits, this gather hood incorporates an adaptor, helping gas flow from the fireplace to the chimney liner efficiently. Maintenance is straightforward; yearly cleaning and inspections are advised, especially for solid fuel applications.
