The London Gather Hood 9 x 12 inch - Ø 200 is a high-quality installation fitting designed to work seamlessly with Mi-Flex 316 and 904 flexible flue liners, ensuring an efficient and safe chimney system. This gather hood is crafted to facilitate the transition from the fireplace opening to the flexible flue liner, enabling a larger flow area for gases to easily escape up through the chimney liner. Perfect for use with wood-burning appliances, smokeless coal, gas, and oil heating systems, it withstands high temperatures up to 600°C (T600 designation).
Key installation requirements include fitting within the masonry chimney to comply with Building Regulations Document J, making a secure gas-tight seal using fire cement or high-temperature sealant, and ensuring no flex is exposed at any time. Maintenance should be carried out by a competent person, and it is imperative to sweep chimneys serving solid fuel appliances at least twice a year.
