Designed exclusively for use as a connecting pipe between your appliance and the flue liner, chimney stack, or twin wall flue system, it should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls.
Ensuring safety, VIT-Smooth should be installed with at least 375mm clearance from any combustible materials. Easy to install with a friction fit joint, no sealing of joints is required, though jointing compounds like fire cement or high temperature silicone sealant can be used for added security. Maintenance is straightforward, with provision for inspection and cleaning, particularly important for solid fuel systems.
Regular sweeping and maintenance are recommended, especially for chimneys serving solid fuel appliances, at least once a year.
