The VIT-Smooth Flue Damper - Ø 125mm is designed for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances with temperatures up to 600°C. Manufactured from zero carbon steel and finished with a durable powder vitreous enamel coating in matt black, this single skin connecting flue system offers both style and robustness. Ideal for usage as a connecting pipe between your appliance and the Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System, the VIT-Smooth Flue Damper ensures that all condensates stay within the flue system, maintaining its appearance and functionality.
Note that the VIT-Smooth pipe should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls.During installation, maintain a minimum distance of 375mm from combustible materials such as wood and plasterboard. The VIT-Smooth installs with a friction fit joint, eliminating the need for sealing. For added security, joints can be sealed using fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant.
The product is designed to be cut to size, but it is crucial to cover any exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting.Regular maintenance is key, particularly for solid fuel appliances. We recommend installing access doors at directional changes to facilitate easy inspection and cleaning. For optimal performance, chimneys should be swept and maintained at least once a year.
