The Test Hole Cover Band Ø 125 is a crucial accessory for covering holes drilled into VIT-Smooth pipes during flue draft tests. Designed for use with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances, the VIT-Smooth pipe system can handle temperatures up to 600°C. This single skin connecting flue system is crafted from zero carbon steel and coated with a powder vitreous enamel in a sleek matt black finish, offering both durability and style.When installing, ensure the VIT-Smooth pipe is positioned correctly – with the smaller diameter facing downwards to prevent condensate from escaping.
Note, it should not pass through ceilings or combustible walls without proper protection. For best results, maintain a clearance of 375mm from combustible materials and consider using a jointing compound for extra security.Regular maintenance is key, especially for solid fuel systems. It's recommended to install access doors at direction changes for inspection and cleaning.
Ensure you sweep chimneys serving solid fuel appliances at least once a year.
