When used together, these components form a complete chimney system compliant with Building Regulations Document J, which mandates that a flexible flue liner must be entirely enclosed within a masonry chimney. Perfect for appliances operating up to 600°C (T600), this cowl supports various fuels including wood with less than 20% moisture, smokeless coal, gas, and oil.This product features a square base and complies with the latest BSEN standards.

The integrated rain cap and bird guard not only prevent water ingress and bird entry but also allow for easy installation without removing the chimney pot. This pot hanging cowl takes the vertical weight of the liner and secures it to the chimney structure using the standard jubilee fixing method, guaranteeing durability and stability.Further, a well-designed chimney system ensures easy sweeping and maintenance. Annual cleaning is a must, with bi-annual sweeping recommended for solid fuel appliances.

Preferably, engage a HETAS registered professional for sweeping to avoid using chemical cleaners or mild steel tools which can damage stainless steel chimneys. These regular maintenance steps will keep your chimney operating safely and efficiently year-round.
