This single skin connecting flue system is crafted from zero carbon steel and has a resilient powder vitreous enamel coating in a sleek matte black finish, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. The VIT-Smooth pipe serves as a secure conduit between your appliance and flue liner, chimney stack, or twin wall flue system.

It is vital to note that this pipe should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls. Installation is straightforward, but precautions must be taken to maintain a safe distance from combustible materials (minimum 375mm from wood, plasterboard, etc.). Always ensure the pipe is fitted correctly, with the smaller diameter pointing downward to keep condensates inside the flue system.

This friction-fit pipe requires no sealing, though jointing compounds can be used for extra security. The pipe is designed to be cut to size if necessary, and exposed steel should be treated with high-temperature paint to prevent rust. Regular maintenance involves periodic inspection and cleaning of the chimney, particularly for solid fuel applications.

Access doors at direction changes can facilitate this maintenance. We also recommend an annual sweep of chimneys servicing solid fuel appliances.
