The VIT-Smooth 250mm Pipe with a diameter of Ø 175mm is an exceptional choice for connecting your appliance to a flue liner, chimney stack, or twin-wall flue system. Crafted from zero-carbon steel and coated with a powder vitreous enamel in a stylish matt black finish, this single-skin connecting flue is designed for durability and performance. Whether you’re using gas, oil, or solid fuel appliances, the VIT-Smooth can handle temperatures up to 600°C, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
Note that this pipe is designed exclusively as a connecting pipe and should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls. Installation is straightforward: ensure a 375mm clearance from any combustible materials, and remember that VIT-Smooth pipes should always be installed with the smaller diameter pointing downward to contain any condensates. While the friction fit joint does not require sealing, adding a layer of fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant can offer additional security.
For areas that might be cut, it’s crucial to cover exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting. Regular maintenance, including sweeping and inspecting the chimney, especially for solid fuel applications, will prolong the lifespan of your VIT-Smooth pipe.
