The MI-FLEX Adaptor - Ø 150 is a 0.6mm thick 316 stainless steel adaptor specifically designed for seamless connections between a rigid single wall flue system and the MI-FLEX flexible flue liner. This adaptor is vital for achieving a gas-tight transition, ensuring the secure and efficient operation of your heating system. It is suitable for use with multiple fuels including wood with less than 20% moisture, smokeless coal, gas, and oil, and can withstand temperatures up to 600°C (T600 designation).
To comply with Building Regulations Document J, it must be installed entirely within a masonry chimney. The bottom fixings secure the transition neatly within the existing masonry, and additional sealing materials such as fire cement, ceramic rope, or high-temperature sealant are recommended for best results. Maintenance is straightforward, requiring routine sweeping by a competent person and regular inspections to ensure safety and efficiency.
This makes it a versatile, reliable choice for maintaining clean and efficient flue systems.
