The VIT-Smooth 33° Elbow - Ø 200mm is an ideal choice for connecting your appliance to your flue liner, chimney stack, or twin wall flue system. Crafted from zero carbon steel and finished with a powder vitreous enamel in sleek matt black, this single-skin connecting flue system guarantees durability and aesthetic appeal. It is suitable for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances with temperatures up to 600°C.
However, it is crucial that VIT-Smooth is NOT used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls.Installation is straightforward, but remember to install it the correct way up, with the smaller diameter pointing downward, to prevent condensate from leaking and affecting the appearance and efficiency of the pipe. While VIT-Smooth fits together through friction – thus not requiring sealant for joints – you can use fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant for added security. If you need to cut the pipe, ensure that any exposed steel is covered with high-temperature paint to avoid rust.Maintenance is equally important.
Ensure access for inspection and cleaning, especially for solid fuel applications. Installing VIT-Smooth with access doors at direction changes simplifies this process. Regular sweeping and maintenance, at least once a year, are recommended to keep your chimney in top condition.
