The VIT-Smooth GLOSS - Smooth 90° Elbow - Ø 100mm is an essential component for connecting your appliance to your flue liner or chimney stack. This high-quality, single skin connecting flue system is crafted from zero carbon steel and features a powder vitreous enamel coating in a glossy black finish. It is suitable for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances handling temperatures up to 600°.
Please note, VIT-Smooth should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls. When installing VIT-Smooth, ensure it is the correct way up with the smaller diameter pointing downward to contain condensates within the system. This friction fit joint doesn’t require sealing, but for added security, joints may be sealed with fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant.
Proper installation includes keeping a 375mm distance from combustible materials and using appropriate PPE. Maintenance provisions for inspection and chimney cleaning are especially crucial for solid fuel applications, and it is advisable to install VIT-Smooth with access doors at direction changes to facilitate this. Make sure to sweep and maintain chimneys at least annually if using solid fuel appliances.
