The VIT-Smooth GLOSS Adaptor (Traditional to Vit-Smooth) - Ø 150mm is a premium single skin connecting flue system designed for a seamless transition between traditional pipes and VIT-Smooth systems. Crafted from zero carbon steel and finished with a powder vitreous enamel coating in gloss black, this adaptor is suitable for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances with operating temperatures up to 600°C.VIT-Smooth pipes should only be used as a connecting pipe between your appliance and Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System. It is not suitable for passing through ceilings or combustible walls.

Attention to detail is crucial during installation: ensure the pipe is installed the correct way up—smaller diameter pointing downward—to retain condensates within the flue. VIT-Smooth joints are friction fits, negating the need for sealing; however, for added security, joints can be coated with fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant.Regular maintenance is essential, particularly for solid fuel applications. The inclusion of VIT-Smooth pipes with access doors at direction changes facilitates inspection and cleaning.

Remember, chimneys serving solid fuel appliances should be swept and maintained at least once a year.
