This single-skin flue system is crafted from zero carbon steel and finished with a sophisticated gloss black powder vitreous enamel coating, making it suitable for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances with temperatures up to 600°C.**Construction and Installation:**Constructed from high-quality zero carbon steel, this adaptor features a durable powder vitreous enamel coating in a sleek gloss black finish. It is designed to withstand high temperatures, up to 600°C, ensuring durability and performance.
When installing, ensure a minimum distance of 375mm from combustible materials like wood or plasterboards. The VIT-Smooth must be installed correctly with the smaller diameter pointing downward to keep condensates within the flue system, avoiding any external leakage. Although a friction fit joint means sealing is not required, adding a jointing compound such as fire cement or high-temperature silicone can offer additional security.**Maintenance:**Regular maintenance is crucial, especially for solid fuel applications.
Incorporating VIT-Smooth with access doors at direction changes will facilitate easy inspection and cleaning. We recommend having your chimney swept and maintained at least once a year to ensure optimal performance and safety.
