The VIT-Smooth 500mm Pipe - Ø 200mm is a high-performance connecting flue pipe designed for use with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances. This single-skin pipe, crafted from zero-carbon steel and finished with a durable powder vitreous enamel coating in a matt black finish, can handle temperatures up to 600°C, making it a versatile option for various heating systems. It should be used strictly as a connecting pipe between your appliance and the flue liner, chimney stack, or twin wall flue system.Installation of the VIT-Smooth pipe is straightforward: it should be installed with the smaller diameter pointing downwards to ensure condensates remain within the flue system.
The friction-fit joint design doesn't require sealing, but for added security, you can opt to use fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant. Remember to keep a safe distance of at least 375mm from combustible materials during installation.Maintenance is essential, especially for solid fuel applications, thus installing the pipe with access doors at direction changes is recommended. Regular inspections and cleanings are key to maintaining optimal performance, with at least an annual chimney sweep advised.
