The VIT-Smooth 500mm 1 Part Adjustable Pipe - Ø 100mm is a versatile, high-performance solution designed to connect your appliance to a flue liner, chimney stack, or twin wall flue system. Constructed from zero carbon steel and coated with a matte black powder vitreous enamel, this pipe is suitable for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances operating at temperatures up to 600°C.### ApplicationIdeal for a variety of heating systems, it should only be used as a connecting pipe and must not pass through ceilings or combustible walls. It ensures that all condensates stay within the flue system, preserving both functionality and appearance.### InstallationWhen installing, make sure the smaller diameter points downward.
The pipe features a friction fit joint, requiring no sealant, although a jointing compound can be used for extra security. Any exposed steel should be treated with high-temperature paint to prevent rust. Always maintain a distance of 375mm from combustible materials and wear appropriate PPE.### MaintenanceRegular inspection and cleaning are essential, especially for solid fuel applications.
Installing access doors at changes of direction simplifies maintenance. It's recommended to sweep chimneys serving solid fuel appliances at least once a year.
