The VIT-Smooth 1000mm Starter Pipe with Door is expertly crafted for optimal performance and durability. Suitable for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances with operating temperatures up to 600°C, this single-skin connecting flue pipe is your go-to solution for a clean and efficient chimney system. Manufactured from high-quality zero carbon steel and coated with a powder vitreous enamel in a sleek matte black finish, this pipe ensures long-lasting resistance to high temperatures and corrosion.Ideal as a connecting pipe between your appliance and the flue liner, chimney stack, or twin-wall flue system, the VIT-Smooth should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls.
Safety guidelines suggest keeping the pipe at least 375mm away from any combustible materials like wood or plasterboard. Featuring a built-in condensate ring and sweeping door, it ensures easy installation and maintenance. The friction-fit joint design eliminates the need for sealant, although a high-temperature jointing compound can be used for extra security.
Always wear appropriate PPE during installation.For maintenance, the built-in sweeping door allows for easy cleaning and inspection, particularly important for solid fuel applications. It is recommended to sweep chimneys serving solid fuel appliances at least once a year to maintain optimum performance.
