When paired together, they create a complete chimney system compliant with Building Regulations Document J, which mandates that a flexible flue liner must be fully enclosed within a masonry chimney. This accessory is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 600°C, making it suitable for wood (with less than 20% moisture), smokeless coal, gas, and oil appliances.Top Fixings: Appropriate top fixings are crucial for supporting the vertical weight of the flue liner.
Ensure that the chimney stack is weatherproof, the structure sound, and the chimney pots intact with proper flaunching at the stack's top before installation.Specific Application: The Pot Hanging bracket is designed to support the MI-FLEX liner without needing to remove the chimney pot. It secures the liner on the exterior of the pot, making it ideal when using a 3rd party terminal or requiring an open termination. The terminal's skirt effectively seals the top of the chimney.Maintenance: Regular cleaning and maintenance are recommended to ensure long-term efficiency and safety.
