Installation of the Pack 701 Installation Kit should always be carried out by a HETAS registered professional to ensure full compliance with building regulations. Begin by verifying that your chimney structure allows for easy maintenance and sweeping. Ensure that all components are matched correctly and securely fixed, following the detailed installation guide provided with the kit. Use the required basic hand tools as outlined in the manual. Note that MI-FLEX liners are sold separately; therefore, confirm you have the appropriate liner before starting the installation. Regular inspections and cleaning are vital, particularly when the appliance in use involves solid fuels. Always wear appropriate safety gear and adhere to local safety practices during the installation process.

The Pack 701 Installation Kit includes a Top Plate, Top Clamp, Top Insert, Nose Cone, Adaptor to Black Pipe or Single Wall Flue, and a Chimney Notice Plate, all designed at 180mm.

No, the MI-FLEX liner is not included in this kit and must be purchased separately.

This kit is suitable for use with wood<20% moisture, smokeless coal, gas, and oil appliances.

While it is possible for a competent person to install the kit, we recommend professional installation to ensure all building regulations are adhered to.

The chimney system should be cleaned and inspected at least once a year. However, for solid fuel applications, it is recommended to sweep the chimney at least twice a year: at the end of the heating season and before the start of the next.

Basic hand tools are required for the installation of this kit. We recommend consulting the installation guide for a full list of necessary tools.

A list of HETAS registered sweeps can be found at www.hetas.co.uk.
