It's designed to sit within the masonry chimney, ensuring no part of the flue liner is exposed, thus maintaining an aesthetic and functional integrity.To secure the bottom fixing, provisions must be made to ensure a gas-tight seal using fire cement, ceramic rope, tape, or high-temperature sealant. Additionally, this gather hood includes an adaptor to easily attach the flexible flue liner, which is crucial for ensuring a secure and efficient fit.

Proper maintenance is essential, including annual sweeping by a competent person, with bi-annual sweeping recommended for solid fuel appliances to prevent blockages and buildup.
