Note that it should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls.CONSTRUCTION: This single skin connecting flue system is manufactured from zero carbon steel, finished with a powder vitreous enamel coating in a sleek matte black.
This ensures durability and aesthetic appeal, making it an excellent addition to your stove setup.INSTALLATION: VIT-Smooth mandatorily needs to be installed the right way up, with the smaller diameter pointing downwards to ensure condensates remain inside the flue. It’s a friction fit joint, removing the need for additional sealing, though you may use jointing compound for extra security. When cutting, it's crucial to seal the exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rust.
Always wear appropriate PPE during installation.MAINTENANCE: Easy access for regular inspection and cleaning is built in, particularly vital for maintaining solid fuel appliances. Installing a VIT-Smooth with an access door at directional changes allows efficient cleaning. Annual sweeping and maintenance are recommended for optimal performance.
