Made from zero carbon steel and coated in powder vitreous enamel with a sleek matt black finish, this single-skin connecting flue system is suitable for use with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances operating at temperatures up to 600°C. This specific part features a built-in offset of 100mm to provide an elegant connection with minimal joints.
Please note, it should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls.For installation, ensure that the VIT-Smooth is oriented correctly with the smaller diameter pointing downwards to contain any condensates within the flue system. The friction-fit joint design eliminates the need for sealing, although fire cement or high-temperature silicone can be used for extra security. When cutting VIT-Smooth, cover any exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting.
Maintenance involves regular inspection and chimney cleaning, particularly for solid fuel applications. Incorporate VIT-Smooth components with access doors at directional changes for easy upkeep.Adhere to safety measures, including wearing appropriate PPE during installation, and maintain a distance of at least 375mm from combustible materials.
