However, it is crucial that the VIT-Smooth pipe should never be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls. The elbow comes with an access door which simplifies inspection and cleaning—essential for maintaining efficiency, especially for solid fuel applications.
Proper maintenance, including regular chimney sweeping, is recommended to ensure your system remains in top condition. Note that when cutting VIT-Smooth, any exposed steel must be covered with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting. Always wear appropriate PPE during installation.
