However, it is crucial that the VIT-Smooth pipe should never be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls. Installation is straightforward with a friction fit joint that does not require sealing, although for extra security, a jointing compound can be applied. The elbow comes with an access door which simplifies inspection and cleaning—essential for maintaining efficiency, especially for solid fuel applications.
