The VIT-Smooth GLOSS - 90° Tee and Cap (Ø 150mm) is an essential component for connecting your appliance to a flue liner, chimney stack, or twin wall flue system. Constructed from zero-carbon steel with a powder vitreous enamel coating, it is not only durable but also aesthetically pleasing with its high-gloss black finish. Suitable for use with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances, it can handle temperatures up to 600°C.
The VIT-Smooth pipe is designed as a single-skin connection and must only be used between the appliance and the primary flue system. It should never be used to pass through combustible walls or ceilings. For installation, ensure the smaller diameter of the pipe is pointing downwards to keep condensates within the flue system.
It fits together with friction, but you can apply a jointing compound like fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant for extra security. Remember to cover any cut edges with high-temperature paint to prevent rust. Maintenance is straightforward but essential, particularly for solid fuel appliances.
Install access doors at directional changes to facilitate chimney sweeping and regular inspection, which should be done at least once a year. Always wear appropriate PPE during installation to ensure safety.
