The VIT-Smooth GLOSS 1000mm Pipe Ø 125mm is an exceptional choice for those needing a reliable connecting pipe for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances. Engineered from zero carbon steel and finished with a glossy black powder vitreous enamel coating, this single skin flue system ensures longevity and durability. Withstanding temperatures up to 600°C, it is designed to be a friction fit joint, eliminating the need for sealing.
However, for extra security, joints can be sealed with fire cement or high-temperature silicone. Be mindful that this pipe is meant only as a connecting element between your appliance and either a flue liner, chimney stack, or twin wall flue system, and it should not pass through ceilings or combustible walls. Installation requires careful precautions, especially maintaining a 375mm clearance from combustible materials and installing the pipe the right way up to prevent condensate issues.
Additionally, the pipe can be cut to size, but any exposed steel must be treated with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting. Regular maintenance, including chimney inspection and cleaning, is crucial, particularly for solid fuel applications.
