The Top Clamp Ø 125 is a crucial component in the installation of flue systems, specifically designed for use with MI-FLEX 316 and 904 flexible flue liners. This accessory ensures a secure and stable flue assembly, making it a vital part of any fully integrated chimney system. Adhering to Building Regulations Document J, this top clamp must be used within a masonry chimney.
It is suited for appliances operating up to 600°C, making it ideal for wood (moisture <20%), smokeless coal, gas, and oil applications. The top fixings are crafted to support the vertical weight of the flue liner, ensuring that your chimney remains structurally sound and weatherproofed. Additionally, it must be paired with the Top Plate and Top Insert Sleeve to stabilise the liner at the top of the stack.
Regular maintenance and sweeping by a competent person are required to ensure longevity and safety, particularly for solid fuel applications. Consult HETAS for registered sweeps and avoid using chemical cleaners or mild steel tools on stainless steel chimneys.
