According to Building Regulations Document J, flexible flue liners must be entirely enclosed within a masonry chimney.

This dependable pot hanger simplifies installation by allowing the MI-FLEX liner to be fitted without the need to remove the chimney pot, supporting the liner’s weight around the chimney's outside. Ideal for wood with less than 20% moisture, smokeless coal, gas, and oil appliances, this pot hanger is crucial for maintaining system integrity and preventing water ingress and vermin entry.
