Adhering strictly to Building Regulations Document J, it mandates that flexible flue liners be fully enclosed within a masonry chimney—non-masonry enclosures like timber or plasterboard are not permissible.
Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 600°C (T600 designation), the Screw-FIX Joiner is compatible with wood (<20% moisture), smokeless coal, gas, and oil. Maintenance is straightforward but crucial: sweep regularly with non-chemical cleaners and avoid mild steel tools to maintain the integrity of your stainless steel chimney system. Professional sweeping is recommended at least twice a year, especially for solid fuel applications, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
