Adhering to Building Regulations Document J, these liners must be fully enclosed within a masonry chimney, and not within non-masonry enclosures like timber or plasterboard. Maintenance is simplified as the chimney system allows for easy sweeping access by a competent person. Regular cleaning is recommended, especially for solid fuel systems, twice a year. 1. Attach the Nose Cone to the leading end of your MI-FLEX liner before installation. 2. Ensure the liner is fully enclosed within a masonry chimney as per Building Regulations Document J. 3. Avoid installing in non-masonry enclosures such as timber or plasterboard. 4. Use appropriate draw cords (not supplied) to assist in pulling the liner smoothly down the chimney stack. 5. Regularly sweep the chimney system, especially for solid fuel applications, to maintain optimum performance.
