The VIT-Smooth Increaser Ø 100-125mm is a versatile connecting pipe designed for use with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances. Engineered to withstand temperatures up to 600°C, this increaser is made from zero carbon steel with a durable matt black powder vitreous enamel coating. Ideal for connecting your appliance to a Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System, the VIT-Smooth should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls.
Installation is straightforward with a friction fit joint, reducing the need for sealing. However, for added security, you can use jointing compound like fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant. The increaser is also designed to be cut to size, with care taken to cover exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rust.
Regular maintenance is essential, especially for solid fuel appliances, to ensure chimney cleanliness and safety.
