It connects seamlessly between your appliance and the flue liner, chimney stack, or twin-wall flue system, and should not be used to pass through combustible materials or ceilings. Installation is straightforward with a friction-fit joint that doesn’t require sealants, though extra security can be achieved with jointing compounds. The elbow can be cut to size; ensure exposed steel is treated with high-temperature paint to prevent rust.
Regular maintenance is simple, thanks to the built-in access door, and it's recommended to inspect and clean chimneys serving solid fuel appliances at least annually.
