The VIT-Smooth Adaptor (Vit-Smooth to Traditional) - Ø 175mm is an essential component for connecting your VIT-Smooth pipe system to traditional flue systems. Expertly crafted from zero carbon steel and finished with a sleek powder vitreous enamel coating in matt black, this adaptor guarantees durability and high performance. It's suitable for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances with operating temperatures up to 600°C.
Ideal as a connecting pipe between your appliance and flue liner, chimney stack, or twin wall flue system, it should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls. VIT-Smooth pipes are friction-fit, eliminating the need for joint sealing, although additional security can be achieved using fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant. They can also be cut to size, with exposed steel areas requiring high-temperature paint to prevent rusting.
For safety, appropriate PPE should be used during installation. Regular maintenance, including chimney sweeping and inspection, is recommended, particularly for solid fuel appliances, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
