The VIT-Smooth Adaptor (Vit-Smooth to Traditional) Ø 100mm is a versatile and robust solution designed to seamlessly connect modern Vit-Smooth flue pipes to traditional chimney stacks or twin-wall flue systems. Manufactured from zero carbon steel and finished with a high-quality powder vitreous enamel coating in matt black, this adaptor is suitable for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances operating at temperatures up to 600°C. Note that the VIT-Smooth Adaptor is exclusively for use as a connecting pipe and should not be passed through ceilings or combustible walls.
Ensure a minimum distance of 375mm is kept from any combustible materials during installation. The VIT-Smooth system employs a friction fit joint, eliminating the necessity for sealing, though jointing compounds such as fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant can be used for added security. The pipe can be cut to size, with exposed steel requiring a protective coat of high-temperature paint to prevent rust.
To maintain optimal performance, regular inspection and cleaning, especially in solid fuel applications, is recommended.
